2006 Deaf National Team Picks Up Support of Adidas and Sun
Mountains Sports
When the World Deaf Golf Championships tee off later this summer
in Canada the defending champions will not only be ready to play their best, but will also look their best. USDGA Executive
Director Rob Strano recently announced that he had negotiated the support of two of golf’s top companies in providing
clothing and golf bags for the members of the 2006 team. Adidas enthusiastically stepped up as the official clothing sponsor
of the team and will provide shirts, shoes
and
pullovers for all the players. “I am very excited to bring the Adidas line of golf clothing and shoes to our players,”
Strano said. “The quality is unmatched and the styles and colors will ensure that the USA team is the best looking group at
the competition!” Then in late December came the announcement that Sun Mountain Sports would produce official USA team golf
bags for the players. “Sun Mountain is the undeniable leader in golf bags and their line of products is incredible. I am
very pleased that they will be part of the
USA team for the 2006 championship.” Mr. Strano further added that, “All our sponsors are a vital part of our team and they
will help ensure the overall success of the team and another victory for the US.” The 2006 World Deaf Golf Championship will
be played July 18-21 at Redtail Landing Golf Club in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
